 I actually don't think I tried adding a buddy after that when I tried
 before.  But I just tried again, and I added a buddy this time and
 everything worked fine for me.  I did make some server-side buddy list
 changes in Pidgin recently... it's possible one of those changes fixed the
 problem you were having in 2.0.1.

 Is anyone else still having this problem with Pidgin 2.1.1?
