 ok, in my usual 'talk to myself' fashion, I have made a decision.  The new
 function is now called
 'pidgin_screenname_autocomplete_online_can_conf_filter' to reflect its new
 functionality of listing only on-line users who are connected with a
 conference capable protocol.  This is coded to just Yahoo until I can find
 a list of all protocols that support conferencing.  Works a treat and
 makes inviting to conference very simple.
