 I'm not sure what to call this, so I'll try to explain it as best as
 possible.

 I cannot click on/activate anything inside the Pidgin window.  I cannot
 expand my buddy groups, cannot access the menus, cannot open the new mail
 window.

 If I use the alt keys to access the menus, it does work.  However, as soon
 as I click on something, I'm back to not being able to open anything.  Or,
 clicking on one of the menus across the top expands my buddy groups.  Very
 strange things.

 I've tried rebooting and reinstalling Pidgin.  Any other ideas?
