Comment:

 I could start providing the field at login, but it doesn't seem to be
 actually necessary to the login process, so it would have a very low
 priority.

 What I have to ask is, why in the world is the Sametime server relying on
 the client to tell it the IP address? We're communicating via an existing
 socket, so it's not like the server needs to back-connect. I hope it's not
 for security, because any client could lie and put in whatever they wanted
 as the address.
