 If an away message is set by selecting "Away" from the status selector and
 typing the message, this message cannot be changed through the "New..."
 dialog if the status remains away.  The new text will be listed as your
 away message, but other clients will still see the old away message.
 Additionally, if the new message text is typed again or selected from the
 status selector, the old text will still show up.  This problem appears to
 remain when Pidgin is exited and reopened.

 Example:[[BR]]
 1) Select "Away" from status menu.  Type "foo".  Away message is
 "foo".[[BR]]
 2) Select "New..." from status menu.  Change message to "bar", leaving
 status as "Away" .  It will say your away message is "bar", but other
 clients will see "foo".[[BR]]
 3) Set status to available. Then select "Away" from status menu and type
 "bar".  Other clients will see "foo" as away message.[[BR]]
 4) Select "bar" from status menu.  Other clients will still see "foo" as
 away message.[[BR]]

 I have seen this occur in both Windows and Linux versions using an AIM
 account.
