 I have pidgin installed on two PCs parallel. I never use them both at same
 time -
 on one PC all runs good - so cannot be a network or router problem.
 both computers are connected with same router and dsl modem.
 Both Computers in same configuration.
 But on new PC Pidgin has always same failure with ICQ. MSN runs good.
 I only use the windows firewall and has specified Pidgin as allowed
 program.
 Because of router and user account without admin rights I think that
 windows firewall and antivirus prog (nod32) is enough.

 Can you help me finding the failure.
 I always use same options...
 using global proxy options, port 5190 and so on - always standard....
