 sorry to use bugmenot account but i didn't feel like signing up just to
 post 1 comment... for ICQ password change i too had a problem - then
 realized that the password length must be <= 8 characters i believe
 (crappy, but it is an ICQ restriction)

 Using a password <= 8 chars worked for me - perhaps the change password
 dialog for ICQ should restrict/remind the user of this? (or at least show
 an error on password failed change, if possible)
