Comment:

 after getting crash like that every few hours for a day, I post this bug
 and downloaded the debug version of pidgin.

 Since then I havent seen the crash. Maybe the aim servers were screwed up?

 I'll keep running debug versions in case it ever happens again.

 If you want you can close the bug and I'll post to it if I ever get the
 crash in an RPT file.

 What do you mean by the stack trace not making sense?
