 I can confirm that in my 2.2, the workaround described in
 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/782 no longer works, and the root
 problem isn't fixed either.

 i.e. once again, my contacts who are "Away" on GTalk and "Idle" on Yahoo
 have been reordered the opposite of how they're ordered when they're
 active.

 I will open a new ticket if that's appropriate.
