 Wow thanks it worked.

 NetworkManager was already there. I think it was some bug which got fixed
 as I didnt notice that DBus error from last 2 releases.

 There is still minor problem, since I have not opted to remember password
 it asks for password after going offline and going back available. Second,
 if my status was "Away" before ADSL connection went down(see first post
 above), this command wud change it to available.

 May just like a purple-remote command called "quit" to exit pidgin we can
 have command called "reconnect". And it wud solve both the problems.

 Btw both commands can be merged in one.
