 Okay, sorry for abusing your bugtracker as my personal notebook, but
 another note from deryni which sounded rather interesting (unrelated the
 the callback-issue):

 One other thing about the patch, you likely don't
 want to just return if the plugin returns something, but rather
 define that returning less than 0 is a deny, 0 is ask the user,
 and greater than 0 is accept, and then call the correct
 callbacks. Like chat-invited does.
