 Actually, this may be related to the buddy icon.  It tries to initiate the
 the yahoo buddy icon upload before connecting.  If the "File transfer
 server" isn't specified correctly (which in your case it appears to be
 "scs.msg.yahoo.com" instead of "filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com"), this may be
 be the issue.  However, it isn't clear why this would fail during
 connection as "scs.msg.yahoo.com:5050" is the same host and port that is
 used by the regular connection process.
