 I noticed, that receiving a new message mostly doesn't make pidgin blink
 anymore. Only a small icon is shown in the upper right corner of the buddy
 list. I say mostly, because it does blink, if I have an open conversation
 window with the buddy, but only if the tab or the whole window does not
 have gnome's focus. This might not be completely correct, but it is the
 regularities, that I was able to observe.

 I use the current mtn version 11fef11dff49357783d6656f9e83bf59403163d0,
 but it looks as though this behavior was introduced earlier.
