 I have downloaded and try to use Pidgin 2.2.0 from work.
 I have both a Yahoo & msn account. None of these work with pidgin, but
 both get connected and works properly with their own clients from the same
 machine.
 At home everything works fine with pidgin.
 My company might have a proxy, thought firefox etc, is configured with
 "direct internet conn"
 I have tried all the different proxy settings, and with & without http
 method, and also the fixes mentioned in other tickets here like setting a
 ip instead of server name etc.
 Attached is the debug log with both the yahoo and msn "trying" to connect.
 Msn & yahoo do give different error messages.
 If I can supply more info, please tell me how.
