 Yes, I've just tried with 2.2.0 . It's still not working.
 Tests done by me:
 ICQ 6.0 -> Pidgin doesn't work
 ICQ 5.1 -> Pidgin doesn't work
 ICQ 6.0 -> ICQ 5.1 does work
 ICQ 5.1 -> ICQ 5.1 does work

 ICQ 5.1 -> ICQ 6.0 does work
 Pidgin  -> ICQ 5.1 does work
 Pidgin  -> ICQ 6.0 does work
 so I think it's nothing about my PC because everything works fine with ICQ
