 The API doesn't currently support the concept of proxy exclusion (bypass)
 settings or proxy autoconfig, it needs to supply the host information
 where it is connecting in order for the appropriate proxy settings to be
 determined accurately.

 For the case of autoconfig, it probably also needs to be asynchronous.
