 New user of pidgin here, and loving it. However my gmail mail
 notifications don't seem to be working. The ones for hotmail and yahoo
 mail seem to be fine, but I've sent a couple of test messages to myself,
 and not getting any notification. I've double/triple checked and the
 option is enabled for google talk to notify of emails.
