 I have just tried the 2 which says global, and system settings, as I don't
 have any specific proxy server to connect to... Firefox also have the "use
 system setting" option ticked off.
 So with those 2 it does not work..

 I can see a lot of people are experiencing troubles with connection.. and
 mabe this should have been a action point for further development of
 pidgin... People don't use software which has these problems, and pidgin
 is really great since it support all this protocols. If the other ones
 have various fallbacks..Is there a problem to implement it here also?
 Excuse me, since i'm not a programmer... just want to use the program.
