 I have now added a new version which correctly scales the icon itself.

 I couldn't figure out the problem with left mouse button not working.
 According to the GTK source, button 1 is left mouse button, and this
 should match with what pidgin_docklet_clicked() expects.

 I added debug print to see which event is actually delivered. Please check
 if it is not working.
 I don't have X installed so I can not test.
