 So, what's the status on this then?  I have been heavily pushing pidgin in
 my organization for quite some time now and this issue we are discussing
 is most definitely a show-stopper. The ST server I use is slated for
 upgrade early Q1 next year.   Any idea as to when this will be resolved?
 I would really like to continue using Pidgin. Thanks
