It does not work with Pidgin 2.2.0.
I cannot say that you need both the password and SecurID to login as it
varies between clients. AIM, AIM Pro and naim do not require you to use a
SecurID at all and you can login to AIM only using your password. Aim
express requires you to use your SecurID. You are first prompted for
username/password and then you are prompted for the SecurID. However in
Pidgin I get the standard incorrect password with no popup asking for the
SecurID. I took a look at the code and it looks like I should get a popup
asking for the SecurID. Perhaps looking at the naim code could help.
Maybe SecurID support isn't even needed and the SecurID code is causing it
to not work.
By the way my password is exactly 8 characters long.
