 IMHO taking these out was a bug, but at least give us a setting to turn
 them back on.  It used to be feasible to run GAIM minimized, knowing you'd
 get a popup if a Jabber user requested authorization to add you, but under
 Pidgin you don't see these unless you have the buddy window up.  This
 means I have to leave my buddy window up all the time now, taking up
 screen real estate.  Please let me have my popups back!
