 So now each user needs to discover the problem, figure out that you can
 add hot keys, find the faq, and then follow the steps (or tolerate the
 regression).

 I'll try this approach for myself, but I'd hope this could actually be
 improved upon.

 Will probably reduce my enthusiasm for recommending others I work with to
 switch over to Pidgin, oh well.
