 I apologize, but about 24 hours later, my buddy gets this request from
 Yahoo asking him to approve my addition of his name to my buddy list.  So
 it was obviously an issue with Yahoo.  I can now see my buddy's online
 status.  Thanks for your time.  Next time, I will wait at least 24 hours
 to see if the problem remains before reporting it.  Take care.
