 Mark,

 I've just installed 2.4.1 and it lets me save the user details properly -
 thanks.

 There still seems to be a problem, as the account never becomes properly
 "Active" - I don't know if this is due to AIM or Pidgin. I'll have a look
 when I get a bit more time, and log another defect if neccessary.
