 Now that the 50% limit is on here, it's better for me; but I don't like
 the fact that the box goes way back down to 1.75 lines after I submit a
 message. I want to be able to still manually resize, but only up to 50% of
 the convo window, or whatever I set as a limit for the auto-resize; and
 not have it go back to the 1.75 lines after submitting.

 Like have a setting just for auto-resizing, a whole sub-category for
 messaging.
