 Using Windows XP, Pidgin 2.4.1, and GTK+ Runtime: 2.12.8

 The system tray icon does not seem to update correctly in Pidgin 2.4.1.
 When I receive a new message and my preferences are set to "Show icon on
 Unread Messages", the icon doesn't appear. When my preferences are set to
 "Show icon Always", the icon doesn't change to the unread message picture.

 If I have unread messages and I change the preference, then the tray icon
 shows up as the unread messages icon. If I then read the messages, the
 tray icon stays as the unread messages icon until I change the preference
 again.

 This behavior worked as expected in Pidgin 2.4.0. See attached screenshot
 for an example of unread messages without the system tray icon.
