Comment (by newbie455):

 The disconnect message at the bottom of my buddy list just says "Read
 error" and asks if I want to disable the account or reconnect it. I'm not
 behind a corporate firewall or anything and I have a very good connection
 (2.5mbps/400kbps with 20 ms ping last time I checked).
