#5415: Use master password (UMP)
--------------------------------------------+-------------------------------
 Reporter: drussell | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.4.1
Keywords: account password authorization | Pending: 0

 Problem:
When opting not to store passwords, it would be optimal if one entry could
 be used for multiple auths.

 Lofty solution:
This could be achieved by allowing the creation of a master password (with
a per account toggle to specify whether it should be used).

 Specifications:

If a master password has not been set, but UMP is set for two or more
enabled accounts, a master password prompt would occur before all other
 prompts.

UMP would be set by ticking a check box that is located next to each
 account in the Accounts window.

Also, the check box, as well as a set master password button, would be
found near the password field in the Modify Account window. When ticked,
the set master password button would be enabled.

Upon ticking UMP, if a master password is not set and UMP is not set for
any other accounts, a prompt asking whether the user whether they would
like to set their master password would appear.

When UMP is set, the password field in the Modify Account window would be
 inactive.

Existing or newly created accounts would not default to UMP even if a
 master password is set.
