Comment:

 The pidgin and purple perl modules are unusable outside of
 pidgin/libpurple and are therefore not distributed separately from
 pidgin/libpurple. The name collision is unfortunate but unavoidable at
 this point. There is certainly no pidgin or libpurple bug here.
