 Please please please fix this.

 1) I use pidgin with my IM window and contact list side-by-side, taking up
 the full height of the screen. With the "single line" text input, it looks
 like complete crap.

 2) Interactive elements in a UI shouldn't change their shape for no good
 reason. Having the input field resize itself while I'm typing is
 distracting and stupid.

 3) The auto-resize seems to have failed to take into account custom convo
 font sizes, so if I set a font that's larger than the default, the input
 field will resize itself on the first ''character'' I type, and then
 resize itself back down again every time I send a message.

 4) The whole braindead GNOME philosophy issue. My machine was set up for
 my best ease of use (and don't laugh, pidgin is an important part of my
 work environment). You've gone and made it worse, and made it as difficult
 as possible for me to make it better again. Stop doing that.
