 I'm using 2.4.1 and I am connected all day long to a xmpp network and AIM.
 Every couple of hours i'm disconnected from the xmpp nw, and must
 reconnect. I am not disconnected from aim.

 I also noticed this in 2.4.0, and it caused me to roll back to 2.3.1
