 1. Bring up the 'new instant message' box (by pressing ctrl+m or using the
 menu in the buddy list)[[BR]]

 2. Type a few characters (the 'new instant message' box will now display
 buddies that match the characters you just typed in)[[BR]]

 3. Press backspace once or twice (to make the filter show previously
 filtered items)[[BR]]

 4. Pidgin crashes[[BR]]


 (this also happens in 2.3.1, I just noticed it today since I jumped from
 2.2.0 to 2.4.1)
