Comment:

 Now that you've mentioned it, it only happens when I have both my Yahoo!
 and XMPP (GTalk) accounts enabled at the same time. More specifically, it
 only happens when I have them both enabled at startup. If I enable the
 other account after I start Pidgin, this does not happen.
