 It might need different code for the two window managers then...?

 I also noticed that with the new version (which includes the line drJekyll
 mentioned, and probably some more things) I get the focus inside the
 typing area when I open a new window (i.e. on the first tab), but not when
 I open a second tab. With the old version, it was the opposite (i.e. no
 focus when opening the window, but then when opening more tabs. Strange. I
 will need to investigate.
