 My QQ windows say (NULL) for the user name and (NULL) for the text
 transmitted (sending both to and from) now in 2.4.x.  At first I went from
 2.4.0 back to the previous version and confirmed it worked, then waited
 for 2.4.1 to see if the minor revision might have fixed it (didn't read
 the release notes carefully, just figured I'd give it a try).

 The debug console indicates it's a character set translation issue or
 something along those lines, but everything works fine in the previous
 version.
