Comment:

 I have no idea what your 'use lib' comment means (I don't do much perl). I
 do agree though that having the perl modules installed into the standard
 @INC path may not be the best idea (this thought had not occured to me
 previously). If there is a way to add items to the @INC path for the
 internal perl interpreter pidgin uses I will attempt to do this (such that
 they are not readily available outside of pidgin) this should help to
 point out that they are not for outside use. I'm unsure what or where to
 add a disclaimer such as you requested as the perl howto specifically
 talks about perl plugins, but I am open to suggested text and locations.
