 In previous versions when I wanted to search using ("Ctrl+F") I was able
 to provide the complete string I wanted to search for example If I had
 'johnKG','john.wayne' etc. in my buddy list I was able to provide john as
 the search string and was abole to scroll in between the occurances of
 'john's.

 But in version 2.4.1 I am not able to provide a complete string it accepts
 only a single character because of which I am only able to provide 'j' and
 not able to search 'john'.

 This was one of the best features of Pidgin and was also a very user
 friendly functionality. It seems to be a bug to me as it was behaving as
 per expectations in the previous releases.
