 Ok, stop thinking about this problem.
 My friend has had activated the option
 [x] Use UTF-8 encoding when possible
 in his trillian.

 If I write UTF-8 as coding all is working now when he has activated this
 option.

 We have tried now what happens if I write UTF-8,CP1252 as coding and he
 1] activats the [x] Use UTF-8 as coding option:
 result -> It is all working fine

 2] deactivats the [ ] Use UTF-8 as coding option:
 result -> äöü gets converted to vd|

 Conclusion: Pidgin(ICQ-Mode) is ignoring all codings without the first
 coding in the input field in the advanced options for the icq-account.

 Sorry for the mess with the codings in my first post but I had them there
 since my struggle with Pidgin 2.4.0.
