 Yeah, one of the latest updates has caused this issue, and it is driving
 me nuts. I think the "close IMs immediately when the tab is closed" option
 is a new feature? I think it started once I checked that option...

 It seems to occur when I close a tab, and then re-start a conversation
 with that person before the timer for actually closing the conversation
 finishes (or I receive another message before that timeout). It would seem
 that the IM will be closed, no matter what, when that timer finishes. I
 have NEVER had the bug NOT occur after having closed a tab and restarted a
 conversation.

 Hope that helps - I don't know if anyone else covered that stuff since I
 really didn't read ALL of these messages.
