I'm using latest 2.4.1 with latest GTK+ on Windows XP Home.

I've created a persistent chat room and then closed the chat room window.
In some protocols (ICQ, XMPP), when someone else types something in the
chat room, the chat room contact item is bolded. But, none of the
 protocols auto-open the window.

 I also read ticket #321: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/321
which might or might not be related to this.

I realize this might be a "feature", so i played with the plugins:

 1) Message Notificatin Plugin v 2.4.1
The config window indicates that this plugin should work for "Chat
 windows"
in addition to "IM windows". It does not. I can not get it to raise
 the window.

 2) Buddy Pounces
It seems that buddy pounces does NOT work for persistent Chat Rooms.
Everything looks like it should work for such rooms, but it does not.

 3) Guifications Plugin
This allows toaster style popup when "Chat room messages" are received,
but does not allow the automatic opening of the chat window.

I would think that (3) not working is probably normal.
But both (1) and (2) not working is probably a bug.

 Could this get fixed?
Also, in the interim, is there any manual workaround I can use?

Let me know if you require more info.

 Cheers,
 Ignac
