 Pidgin 2.4.1 on Windows Vista SP1

 Steps to reproduce:
  1. Login to a server with a lot of chat room (like an IRC server)
  2. Go to "Menu:Buddies/Join a chat"
  3. Select the previously added account (IRC)
  4. Press the [Room List] Button.  The Room List is displayed
  5. Press Ctrl-F and a text box appears in the bottom right corner
  6. Try to click in the text box and type, or start typing

 Result: Nothing happens.  The text I type does not appear in the text box,
 and no finding/searching occurs.

 Expected: As I type, or when I type something and press [enter], the text
 I type should show up in the text box, and the results should be
 highlighted in the Room List.
