 You're absolutely correct.  I upgraded to libxml2 v2.6.18 and it now works
 just fine.  Thank you for the tip!

 is correct you should look at ticket #5411 and (if possible) try upgrading
 libxml2. It seems that libxml2 2.6.16 may have a bug that is causing this
 problem.
