Comment:

 As mentioned in my initial report:
  - I already used the debug-version.
  - There is no output to pidgin.rpt - the file does not exist at all.

 I read the mentioned thread before I opened the report.
 I know that it'll be hard to debug without further information - but there
 IS no further information (depending on the what-to-do-if-pidgin-crashes)
 that I could provide.
