 It has been suggested more than once that we should at very least combine
 the password dialogs into a single dialog. But I have a felling that that
 idea (and the minidialog idea) actually hurt the common case to work
 around the broken nature of windowing environments. The single dialog idea
 has the problem that it becomes less obvious what exactly is going on and
 much less obvious what hitting enter will do, etc.
