 I've had a similar issue, although no other users have noticed me
 disconnecting.
 The problem occurs when there is more than a minute's gap in sent messages
 to any user. I can receive messages from one user, but when I reply I
 receive a connection or timeout error. Resending two or three times
 usually allows the message to go through.
 This is not global. That is, I will send to one user normally while
 letting the other conversation idle for a few minutes. This will only
 happen to both conversations if I let both conversations idle.
