 When I type some text into the text input field, mark it, cut it and paste
 it back to the text input field and send that text to IRC a string
 "\ufeff" (probably the Unicode byte order mark) will be prepended to the
 pasted text.

 For example, typing "test", cutting it from the input line, pasting it
 back and hitting return causes the following to be displayed to other IRC
 users:

 <Vesuri> \ufefftest
