 I just recently upgraded to Pidgin 2.4.1 on my computer, after doing a
 clean install. Almost every time I run it, except if I reinstall it, I get
 the same error. And the times it does start without error, the error does
 come up after a while.
 Debug assertion failed!

 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\vc\include\xtree
 Line 293 (I think)

 Map/set iterators incompatible.

 I've been trying to research this problem myself, with no luck in finding
 a solution. Interestingly enough, if I don't click on the abort, retry, or
 ignore buttons, I can keep using pidgin normally. I'd prefer to keep using
 pidgin, so I can have the same program on linux (Fedora Core 8) and
 Windows XP. The linux version works flawlessly. I did download the debug
 version, but it did not produce an rpt. I did generare a debug.log though.
 Perhaps someone can find something in that.
