 This request is intended to serve a couple purposes: First, I'd like to
 ensure that we're all on the same page with regard to code updates and
 that everyone has had a chance to truly test out the latest code. Second,
 I'd like to see ''everyone'' here take a moment to step back from this
 discussion.

 If this needs further addressing after the 2.4.2 release, we can do so.
