base who nonetheless persists in being very vocal about their displeasure.
Please take comfort in the fact that they are only a ''very small''
percentage base of Pidgin users, and if ignored, will go away and bother
 some other open source project.

At my work place we have a group of 8 linux users, 7 of them are using
Pidgin. Only one of them found your new feature actually usable, others
installed optional plugin. 6 out of 7 gives me about 85% - it is a ''very
small'' percentage base of Pidgin users. When my sister got an update, she
called me straightaway ''Marek, my Pidgin is broken'', she could not stand
the new so called ''feature'', but she's happy now with a plugin, which
 fixes this annoying bug.

 > The development team would very much like to come up with a solution
that meets the needs of ''ourselves'' and the general user base. However,
we cannot understand your needs. You speak in a foreign gibberish,
gobbledy gook language that none can understand. "I just like it that
way!" That is not an answer! You must enumerate the metrics and aspects
of your preferences and desires in ''ways that we can evaluate and then
assimilate into our collective''. We cannot currently assimilate any of
your idiotic reasons for wanting a resizable text box. And by idiotic, we
mean "any solution which does not fit into the scheme of our cleverly
 intelligent auto-resizing text field."

 [[BR]]
The best solution is to make it optional - it cost you almost nothing. You
don't listen to anyone. Many users gave you strong arguments, why they
want manual resizable input field, but you're not listening to them.
You're locked your mind on your so called ''feature'' and that's it. You
want to improve it, but just denying to do anything. Why can't you just
understand, that people are different, they vary from each other, they
have their own tastes, etc - one will like 2 up to 4 lines, other will
like 5 to 50% of input field, but you cannot pleased everyone. With your
approach you're going nowhere. Your ''cleverly intelligent auto-resizing
text field'' does not work for everyone and won't work for everyone - is
it that hard to understand? By denying that you're just showing around
 your closed minds and stupidity.

 > So, just to make it clear: we will not listen to your suggestions unless
your suggestions make sense to us, and we like them. If you do not like
it, there are plenty of other ways on the Internet in which you may occupy
 your time.

Thank you for making that clear. Sooner or later this thread will die, but
it does not mean users started to love your new ''feature''. My mother
used to say “''Don't talk with a stupid, he won't understand''” - I think
we got to that point, you're just showing of your stupidity and people
will just keep quiet, because no one likes to discuss anything with
 dummies.

Thanks god someone has developed a plugin.
